Sonadow: Unleashed Part 1

Sonic was running through Apotos, enjoying the run with no robots, no monsters. Dark Gaia was defeated, but Sonic's 'side-effect' was still intact.

Sonic: 'I miss my friends back home. I know Amy and Tails are here, but it seems like where-ever I go they're always there. I wish that Shadow was here, there's always something new to do with him. I have missed him so much-WAIT! Did I say I miss him SO MUCH? Am I having...feelings for him. Well, he is my friend but, I feel like he's so much more. Maybe I-' "NOOO!"

Sonic fell into the water that was below the bridge Apotos had made for transportation.

Sonic: 'NO! This...is...my...end. My friends, at least now they will get the appreciation they need. Wait...Shadow! I didn't get to tell him my feelings! But...what are they? Do I have lust for him or...or...lo-'

Sonic couldn't finish his thought. His began to loose air quickly. Sonic was gasping so many times, his lungs couldn't take the water anymore. He began to black out. He saw the blackness surround him. And...red? Red streaks? Crimson eyes?

Sonic: 'Sha...dow.? Is...that...you?'

Sonic was imagining things for sure. He blinked, and the figure he suspected as 'Shadow' was gone.

Sonic: 'No.'

Sonic started crying, crying not of his soon to be death. But that he didn't get to tell Shadow how he really felt. Even thought it was just a few minutes ago, Sonic was sure Shadow was the one. Sonic slowly sank to the bottom of the ocean, some life in him. His breathing faded, and stopped.
